Tangshan Earthquake, 28th July 1976

A mother was forced to make the most difficult decision of her life when she was told by the rescue team that her 7-year old twins are buried under the debris, close to each other, and by digging one out would result in the risk of another's life because of the further collapse of the wreckage on the other. She finally made a decision - to save the boy. She did not realise that her decision was overheard by her daughter. However, the girl survived miraculously and was rescued few days later. She refused to reveal who she was after suffering from the emotional shock of the disaster as well as the painful memory her mother's choice gave. After which, she was adopted but still shadowed by the traumatic experience. She remained emotionally closed up, forever.

She volunteers to join the rescue team when the Sichuan earthquake happened. She finally unlocks the pain she had felt all these years after witnessing the tribulations people go through when a natural disaster happens. She finds forgiveness and reunites with her mother and twin brother.

Released today (29th July)! Lesson learnt after watching the movie? The world should be filled with forgiveness, shouldn't it? Learn to forgive and forget. Besides learning a lesson, one can't deny that this gonna be a touching film. What do you think?
